Passport Requirements
Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Tanzania, with at least one blank visa page available for Tanzania visa stamp. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for a Tanzanian visa.
Tanzanian Visa Application Form
One original Tanzania visa application per applicant properly completed and signed, plus one copy. Improperly completed Tanzanian visa application forms may delay the processing of your Tanzania visa.
Photo Requirements
Two recent 2 x 2 passport type photographs in color, front view and with a plain/light background.
Proof Of Departure
Computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency or copy of airline ticket.
Inland Itinerary
Applications submitted in New York must also include a day to day itinerary of activities in Tanzania. If joining a tour, provide the tour itinerary. If traveling independently, this can be written by the applicant.
Minors
Visa applications for minors under 18 years, should be accompanied with a notarized letter, jointly signed by parents or legal guardians approving the minor to travel.
Financial Requirements
Applications submitted in New York must include evidence of sufficient funds to support stay in destination such as most recent bank statement.
Complete the Global Reservation Form
This is Travisa's Service Order Form. You must include a copy of this form with all other supporting documents. (NOTE: Consular fees are NON-refundable. If visa is rejected and resubmitted new consular fees will apply).
Tanzania Visa Validity
A Tanzanian visa is generally valid for 3 months from date of issuance at the discretion of the Tanzanian Consulate.
Tanzanian Visa Processing Time
A Tanzania visa is usually processed in 7 to 10 business days. Rush visa service may be available for additional fees. Please visit our Tanzania Consular Fees and Visa Options page for details. Rush visa service is defined as any attempt made by Travisa to retrieve the Tanzanian visa in less time than the amount required by the Tanzanian Embassy to process the visa.
Please Note
Due to technical difficulties in New York, visa processing is experiencing delays this week. Applications may be sent to New York for processing, but please expect a delay of up to one week for processing. Otherwise, please send the applications to a different Travisa location, using the correct application forms and requirements. In order to ensure that visa applications for most embassies/consulates are submitted on the day that we receive them, they should be shipped to us via FedEx Priority Overnight (not First Overnight or Standard Overnight). Non-refundable tickets or reservations should not be purchased until all visas and passports are secured and in your possession.

Special Instructions
If traveler intends to pass through immigration, a visa may be required. Please confirm with your travel agent or airline to determine if the itinerary is for direct airside transit.
